Never perform welding work on or near a closed air conditioning system. No smoking or open flames. Wear safety glasses and protective gloves. Work only in well ventilated rooms. Carry out repair work on the air conditioning system circuit only after the system has been evacuated.

Remove/install

Discharge air conditioning system.

Remove front bumper.

Detach refrigerant condenser in lower area from radiator unit and pull forward slightly.

Only pull refrigerant condenser far enough forward until  size 27 mm box wrench bit can be positioned on refrigerant pressure sensor (B12).
Otherwise, the refrigerant condenser may be damaged.

Disconnect electrical connector (3).

Remove refrigerant pressure sensor (B12) and seal exposed connection with suitable stop plugs.

Note on calculation of tightening torque when using insertion or socket tools with various effective lengths

 Installation: Coat O-ring (4) with compressor oil.

Check O-ring (4) for damage and wear.

If refrigerant pressure sensor (B12) is being used again.

If there is a problem,



replace refrigerant pressure sensor (B12).

Install in the reverse order



Secure vehicle to prevent it from starting off by itself. Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes. Do not touch hot or rotating parts.

Perform engine test run, check air conditioning system for proper operation and leak tightness while doing so.
