Remove/install

Completely move driver seat forward and toward top

Switch off ignition and remove transmitter key

Remove top cover (1) at seat base of driver's seat

Detach retaining clip (3) of subharness from threaded pin

Unscrew nuts (4)

Model 447.8 except code E1D (Digital radio) except code EM8 (TV tuner), model 448.8

 The nuts (4) are accessible through the top opening in the seat base of the driver's seat.

Remove holder (5) with sound system amplifier control unit (N40/3) upward from threaded pin

 Installation:
Do not clamp subharnesses.
Otherwise, the subharnesses will be damaged.

Swivel sound system amplifier control unit (N40/3) through rear opening in seat base of driver's seat until electrical connectors (6) are accessible

Disconnect electrical connectors (6) at sound system amplifier control unit (N40/3) and remove sound system amplifier control unit (N40/3)

Unscrew screws (7) and remove holder (5)

When replacing the sound system amplifier control unit (N40/3).

Install in the reverse order


