Remove/install

Remove radio

with single-block unit, control panel for two-component unit and CD drive with radio control panel, 1st generation

with code (750a) MB Audio 30 RDS radio with code (753) MB Audio 10 RDS radio with code (756a) MB Audio 10 RDS radio with CD insertion slot

Remove left luggage compartment lining

Remove sidewall in rear

Remove door sill on driver-side

Move driver seat to rearmost position

Detach carpet in left footwell and fold back

 Detach carpet in area of left center console and fold back far enough to expose the cable ducts (1, 2).

Open cable duct on driver-side (3)

Open cable duct on left rear passenger compartment (4)

Detach HF antenna line (5) at automatic antenna (M11) and remove

Vehicles without foamed interior wiring harness.

 Attach a pulling cable to the antenna line and pull through. Cable ducts on center console (1, 2) cannot be opened.

Detach HF antenna line (5) at automatic antenna (M11)

Vehicles with foamed interior wiring harness.

Expose HF antenna line (5) and cut off at foam part

Vehicles with foamed interior wiring harness.

 Installation: Route antenna line into empty duct and fasten in place.

Install in the reverse order
