Transfer basic data of sound amplifier (A2/13) or amplifier for sound system (N40/3) to Star Diagnosis

When replacing the sound amplifier (A2/13) or the amplifier for sound system (N40/3).

Installation: Transfer basic data from Star Diagnosis to sound amplifier (A2/13) or amplifier for sound system (N40/3).

Connect STAR DIAGNOSIS and read out fault memory

Remove rear left luggage box and place to one side with lines still connected

With model 230.467/474/475/476 up to 14.1.04

Switch off the ignition and remove the transmitter key from the EIS control unit

On vehicles with code (889) Keyless-Go, press KEYLESS-GO start/stop button repeatedly until ignition is switched off.

Remove Keyless-Go chip card or transmitter key from vehicle and store beyond the reach of the transmitter (at least 2 m).

Unscrew nuts (1).

Pull out sound amplifier (A2/13) or amplifier for sound system (N40/3) until electrical connectors (3) and fiber optic cable connector (2) are accessible

Disconnect electrical connector (3) from sound amplifier (A2/13) or amplifier for sound system (N40/3)

On vehicles up to 14.1.04, unlock electrical connector (3) at sound amplifier (A2/13) before disconnecting (arrow).

Unplug fiber optic cable connector (2)

To avoid damaging the fiber optic cable, do not kink fiber optic cables, route over sharp edges or bend in radii smaller than 25 mm.

Cover fiber optic cable connector (2) and equipment connector at sound amplifier (A2/13) or amplifier for sound system (N40/3)
