Temporarily store basic data of Digital Audio Broadcasting control unit (N87/3) in STAR DIAGNOSIS

When replacing the Digital Audio broadcasting control unit (N87/3).

Installation: Copy temporarily stored basic data into Digital Audio Broadcasting control unit (N87/3).

Connect STAR DIAGNOSIS and read out fault memory

Remove left side paneling in trunk

Switch off the ignition and remove the transmitter key from the EIS control unit

On vehicles with code (889) Keyless-Go, press Keyless-Go start/stop button repeatedly until ignition is switched off.

Remove Keyless-Go chip card or transmitter key from vehicle and store beyond transmission range of transmitter
(min. 2 m).

Unscrew nuts (1).

Disconnect electrical connector (2) and electrical connector with fiber optic cable connector (3) and remove Digital Audio Broadcasting control unit (N87/3) from bracket (4)

To avoid damaging them, do not kink fiber optic cables, route over sharp edges or bend in radii smaller than 25 mm.

Cover electrical connector with fiber optic cable connector (2) and equipment connection at Digital Audio Broadcasting control unit (N87/3)
