Remove left and right side paneling in trunk

Lock trunk lid catch (2) mechanically

For this purpose, press locking lever (4) on trunk lid catch (2) slightly in direction of arrow and simultaneously lock trunk lid catch (2) with 6 mm Allen wrench (5).

Unscrew bolts (3) and remove hydraulic cylinder for trunk lid catch (1) from trunk lid catch (2)

When the hydraulic cylinder for trunk lid catch (1) is removed, do not actuate Vario roof to prevent damaging the hydraulic cylinder for trunk lid catch (1).

Remove battery support (6) and open cable ducts (7)

When removing right hydraulic cylinder for trunk lid catch (1).

For this purpose, remove spare tire depending on vehicle equipment.

5.1

Expose hydraulic lines No. 93 and 33 for hydraulic cylinder for trunk lid catch (1) to RVC hydraulic unit (A7/5)

When removing left hydraulic cylinder for trunk lid catch (1).

Do not kink hydraulic lines No. 93 and 33 to prevent damage.

Installation: Install new cable ties.

Expose hydraulic lines No. 94 and 34 of hydraulic cylinder for trunk lid catch (1) up to RVC hydraulic unit (A7/5)

When removing right hydraulic cylinder for trunk lid catch (1).

Do not kink hydraulic lines No. 94 and 34 to prevent damaging them.

Installation: Install new cable ties.

6.1

Remove hydraulic lines No. 93 and 33 from RVC hydraulic unit (A7/5) and remove hydraulic cylinder for trunk lid catch (1)

When removing left hydraulic cylinder for trunk lid catch (1).

Do not disconnect electrical connectors from RVC hydraulic unit (A7/5).

Remove hydraulic lines No. 94 and 34 from RVC hydraulic unit (A7/5) and remove hydraulic cylinder for trunk lid catch (1)

When removing right hydraulic cylinder for trunk lid catch (1).

Do not disconnect electrical connectors from RVC hydraulic unit (A7/5).
