Release module carrier screw (1)

 Remove engine compartment cover carpet.

Open soft top

Loosen module carrier screws (2)

Loosen bolts (3)

 Remove cover caps.

Remove side supports

 See owner's manual.

Remove front roof frame paneling

Remove A-pillar cover (4) and loosen screws A and B-pillar strut bearings



Check

Insert right soft top template (6) and left soft top template (5) in the strut bearings of the A and B-pillar

 Insert soft top template first at the B-pillar strut bearing and then at the A-pillar strut bearing.
During this process, push locking handle (7) of the soft top template into the guide in the direction of the B-pillar.

Check paddings of the soft top template

Screw soft top template fixing (9) at the B-pillar strut bearing

 Do not damage thread.

Tighten counternut on the soft top template fixing (9)

 The soft top module carrier is thus pulled onto the soft top template.
Ensure that the soft top module carrier makes contact with the soft top template (arrows).

Check side window pane basic setting

Install

Tighten A-pillar strut bearing screws

 Bolt, side strut bearing to roof frame

Tighten B-pillar strut bearing screws

Tighten screw/bolts (3)

 Install cover caps.

 Bolt, soft top to B-pillar

Tighten module carrier screws (2)

 Bolt, soft top to body through engine compartment

Remove soft top template fixing (9) from B-pillar strut bearing

Remove right soft top template (6) and left soft top template (5)

 During this process, push locking handle of the soft top template into the guide in the direction of the B-pillar.

Close soft top and tighten module carrier screw (1)

 Picture E.

 Ensure that the trunk on the soft top and door seal stick together correctly. Grease if necessary.

 Insert engine compartment cover carpet.

Perform rain test and function test

 Water soft top at the seal point for a few minutes and check leak tightness.
