Risk of injury caused by cutting wire tearing or heating up while using it to cut out components that are glued into place.

Remove glass sliding roof module (1)

 Aid of helper required.

Install

Insert frame (2) into guide on windshield

 Ensure that frame is seated correctly.

Prepare body flange for installation

 The bonding area must be absolutely free of dust and grease. Dirt can lead to paint adhesion problems of adhesive material.

Position glass sliding roof module (1) on body and mark installation position with masking tape (arrows), then remove glass sliding roof module (1).

 Aid of helper required.

Prepare glass sliding roof module (1) for installation

 The bonding area on the glass sliding roof m module (1) must be completely free of dust and grease to prevent adhesion problems when installing.

Open crank window in driver door

 The crank window in the driver door must be opened during the curing time to prevent the glass sliding roof module (1) from being pressed out by the air when the doors are closed.

Apply adhesive material

 Install glass sliding roof module (1) on body flange within 2 minutes after applying adhesive material to prevent paint adhesion problems of the adhesive material when installing.

 The curing time is approx. 2 h measured from the time the glass sliding roof module (1) is installed. The rated accident strength is achieved only after approx. 8 h. Uniformly apply approx. 12 mm high and 8 mm wide adhesive bead.
