Remove/install

Remove door lining from left or right front door

 Before disconnecting electrical connectors on the left front door control unit or right front door control unit, completely close crank window in front door

Switch off ignition and remove key from the EIS electronic ignition switch

Vehicle without Code (889) Keyless Go

Switch off engine and remove Keyless-Go transmitter key from the vehicle

Vehicles with Keyless-Go code 889:

 Keep the Keyless-Go transmitter key out of transmitter range.

Remove outside door handle on front door

Disconnect electrical connector (2)

Unlock electrical connector (3) at corresponding catch hook, remove from connector strip and disconnect

Loosen door foil (4) on front door and fasten to front door with suitable adhesive tape

 Loosen door foil (4) only until electrical wiring harness (5) is accessible. Refer to: 

Remove door foil from front door

Unhook theft protection cover (6) and remove inside from inner door panel (7)

 Remove cover grommet (8) and lift shaped corner on sealing rail (9) until upper area of theft protection cover (6) is accessible.

 Installation: Ensure that anti-theft protection cover (6) is seated properly on inner door panel (7)

Unclip clips (10) from inner door panel (7) and expose electrical wiring harness (5)

Guide electrical wiring harness (5) and Bowden cable (11) through corresponding opening in inner door panel (7)

Remove bolts (12)



Move door lock (1) downward out of access opening in inner door panel (7) and remove

Install in the reverse order
