Remove/install door lining on front door

Removal/installation

1

Completely open crank window in left or right front door

 See Operating Instructions

Unclip mirror triangle cover (2) in upper area and remove from door lining (1)



Remove insulating wedge (3)

Unlock tweeter (H4/1h1) or tweeter (H4/2h1) on latching hook (4) and remove mirror triangle cover (2)

Install long wedge behind power window cover (5) from top, unclip power window cover (5) and remove



Unclip door handle recess cover (6) in lower area and remove downward

Unscrew screws (7) and remove trim panel (8)

 Ensure that trim panel (8) is seated correctly on door lining (1)

Unscrew screw (9) and remove door lock cover (10)

Unclip cover (11) from front and remove



Unlock electrical connector (12) with suitable screwdriver on latching hook (13) and remove

Remove screws (14)

Press door lining (1) on mounting clips (15) off of inner door panel with mounting wedge

 Move mounting wedge directly to mounting clips (15) and ensure that the retainer tabs on the retainer tabs (15) do not tear out of the door lining (1)



 Installation: Replaced damaged mounting clips (15).

Tilt door lining (1) upward toward inside until Bowden cable (16) is accessible

Unhook Bowden cable (16) from inner door opener

15

Disconnect electrical connectors (17) from left front door control unit (N69/1) or right front door control unit (N69/2)

Remove door lining (1)

Install in the reverse order
