3 | Press trim strip (2) out of retaining clips (4) and retaining clip (5) with mounting wedge | Carefully press trim strip (2) out of retaining clips (4) and retaining clip (5), otherwise the trim strip (2) can be deformed or the paint on the front door can be damaged | |

4 | Press outside of sealing rail (1) out of retaining clips (4) from front toward rear with mounting wedge | Carefully press outside of sealing rail (1) out of retaining clips (4), otherwise the outside of sealing rail (1) can be deformed or the paint on the front door can be damaged. | |

5 | Loosen inside of sealing rail (1) from front door from front toward rear with mounting wedge. | Carefully loosen inside of sealing rail (1) from front door, otherwise the inside of sealing rail (1) can be deformed or the paint on the front door can be damaged. | |

6 | Remove sealing grommet (3) | ||
7 | Loosen molded part (arrow) of sealing rail (1) in area above door lock from front door and completely remove sealing rail (1) | ||
8 | Check retaining clips (4) and retaining clip (5) for damage, replace if necessary | ||
| Install | ||
9 | Moisten inside and molded part (arrow) on sealing rail (1) on contact surfaces to front door with lubricant | Antifriction agent | |
10 | Fasten outside of sealing rail (1) to first retaining clip (4) from front in installation position | ||
11 | Position molded part (arrow) of sealing rail (1) and press onto front door | Ensure that molded part (arrow) of sealing rail (1) is seated and installed correctly in area above door lock | |
12 | Position inside of sealing rail (1) and press onto front door | Ensure that inside of sealing rail (1) is seated correctly on front door | |
13 | Press outside of sealing rail (1) into retaining clips (4) | Ensure that outside of sealing rail (1) is seated correctly on retaining clips (4). | |
14 | Install sealing grommet (3) | ||
15 | Position trim strip (2) and press into retaining clips (4) and retaining clip (5) | Ensure that trim strip (2) is seated and installed correctly in retaining clips (4) and retaining clip (5). | |
16 | Install outside mirror | ||
17 | Install door lining in front door |
