Remove

Open side window of left or right front door (1) completely

Switch off ignition and store transmitter key outside of transmission range (min. 2 m)

Disconnect ground line from on-board electrical system battery

Disconnect ground line of auxiliary battery

Disconnect ground line from auxiliary battery for park pawl emergency shift mode

Remove grommet (2) from A-pillar

 Clip remover

Disconnect electrical connectors (3)

 The number of electrical connectors (3) may vary depending on the vehicle equipment involved.

Remove door holder (4) from A-pillar

Attach lifting device to front door (1)



Remove screws (5) and remove front door (1) from hinges


Carefully handle front door (1).
Otherwise, paint damage will occur.

Remove front door (1) from the lifting device

If required.

 Helper required.



Install

Attach front door (1) to lifting device

If required.



Position front door (1) on hinges and tighten screws (5) until the front door (1) is fixed to the hinges


Carefully handle front door (1).
Otherwise, paint damage will occur.

 Tighten screws (5) with the specified tightening torque only after adjusting the front door (1).

Remove lifting device from the front door (1)

Attach door holder (4) to the A-pillar

Attach grommet (2) to the A-pillar
