Open the front doors

Open the tilting/sliding roof completely

 See owner's manual.

Lower the head restraints

 See owner's manual.

Unclip the cover strip (1) from the tilting/sliding roof frame and remove it

Remove panelings from the left and right B-pillar

Remove roof crossbeam paneling

Slide the cable tie through the eyelets (arrows) of the carrier plate (3) and pull it

 The carrier plate (3) is secured in place by the cable tie.

Remove screws (2)

Unscrew the nuts (4) and lower the carrier plate (3)

Connect ground cable to battery

 Only attach the ground line to the on-board electrical system battery (in the trunk).

Retract the front seats

 See owner's manual.

Remove the panelings from the A-pillars left and right

Remove the grab handles at the front left and right from the roof

Remove left and right sun visors

 With bracket.

Remove inside rearview mirror

Unscrew the screws (5) and remove the mirror mount (6)

 Note the installation position of the ribbon feeders (7).

Slide the headliner (8) to the rear (arrow A), then lower it at the front until the headliner (8) can be slid forwards (arrow B)

Remove headliner (8)

 Guide out the electrical lines.

Protect the front seats and the instrument panel with covers

Remove the headliner (8) on the front passenger side from the vehicle

Install in the reverse order
