X58/1 Interior socket

1 | Open trunk lid | ||
2 | Take floor covering (2) out of luggage compartment | ||
3 | Remove expansion clips (3) | Installation: Replace damaged expansion clips (3). | |
4 | Remove screw clips (4). | Installation: Replace damaged screw clips (4). | |
5 | Loosen rear center section paneling (1) from rear center section until electrical connectors on luggage compartment lamp (E18/1) and interior socket (X58/1) are accessible. | Lift rear center section paneling (1) over locking eye cover. | |
6 | Disconnect electrical connectors from luggage compartment lamp (E18/1) and interior socket (X58/1) | Insulate socket with insulation tape to prevent short circuit | |
7 | Remove paneling from rear center section (1) | ||
8 | Install in the reverse order |
