Remove/install

Remove D-pillar trim (2).

Remove expansion rivet (4).

Release roof linings (3, 5) from the retaining tabs (arrows) from the side wall in the area of the rear window.

Release edge guard (6) in the area of the window frame lining (1).

Lift window frame lining (1), pry off, and remove.

 Installation: Ensure that the window frame lining (7) overlaps the window frame lining (1).
Ensure that the window frame lining (1) overlaps the window frame lining (8).

 The window frame lining (1) is bonded to the side wall using tape.

Remove masking tape residues from the side wall with a suitable tool.

Remove masking tape residues from the window frame lining (1) with a suitable tool.

When reusing the window frame lining (1).

Attach new adhesive tape strips to the window frame lining (1).

When reusing the window frame lining (1).


Ensure that the adhesive strips are positioned in the same way as the adhesive strips that were removed previously.
Otherwise adhesion problems may occur.
