The bonding area must be free of dust and grease.
Otherwise the adhesive force of the adhesive material starts to decrease.

 For a damage severity  10%, the repair can be realized with a primer stick.  For a damage severity > 10%, the window frame must be coated with primer filler.
Otherwise corrosion damage may occur.

Use only primer fillers and primer sticks approved by Daimler AG:

Use only the repair kit specified in the EPC.

Level residual adhesive material at window frame (1) to a height of approx. 2 mm using a suitable scraper and remove loose residual adhesive material.

Clean working area.

Clean bonding area (2) on window frame (1) with cleaner and rub dry with dry cloth.

Repair paint damage in bonding area (2) and on window frame (1) with primer stick or primer filler.


Observe the manufacturer's specifications for the curing and processing time of the primer filler.

Apply primer on window frame (1) in areas with missing or damaged residual adhesive material.


Allow primer to flash off at least 10 min.
Otherwise the adhesive force of the adhesive material starts to decrease.
