Risk of injury due to tear or warming up of cutting wire and through glass splinters when cutting out glued windows

Wear protective gloves and safety glasses.

Remove trim from C-pillar

Disconnect electrical connections (rear window antenna (A2/32) and heated rear window (R1) on rear window (1) and fasten on rear window (1) with adhesive tape.

Remove rubber channel from body flange at bottom and remove

Cut out rear window (1) with Roll Out 2004 window removal tool

 When cutting out rear window (1) the vulcanized rubber frame is damaged. It is always necessary to replace the rear window (1) afterwards

Remove rear window (1) from body with cup suction tools

 Aid of helper required.

Prepare body flange for installation of window

Install rubber channel at bottom of body flange

Align rear window (1) in body opening

 Aid of helper required.

Remove rear window (1) from body

 Aid of helper required.

Apply adhesive material

Install rear window ( 1) within 10 minutes, otherwise adhesive force of adhesive material starts to decrease.

Install rear window (1)

 Open a side window in the vehicle to prevent the rear window (1) from being pressed outward by air pressure when the door is closed

 Aid of helper required. The waiting time (drive-away time) is approx. 1 h calculated from the time the rear window (1) is installed.

Connect electrical connections (rear window antenna and rear window defroster) to rear window (1)

Install molding onto C-pillar
