Separate outer sliding door entrance

Expose spot welds on outer sliding door entry (1) and cut out (arrows).

Mark separation lines (A) on outer sliding door entrance (1) along sidewall paneling (2) and B-pillar (3).

Cut outer sliding door entrance (1) along marked separation lines (A).

 Do not make the cuts too deep.
Otherwise the components below can be damaged and weakened.

Remove outer sliding door entrance (1).

Grind connecting points down flat.

 Sand down spot weld flanges to bare metal on both sides.

Remove grinding dust.

7

Coat inside of spot welding flanges with zinc dust paint.
