Print out the "Protokoll Tanksystem, Formular" (tank system event log form), fill it out, and attach to the vehicle in a place where it is easily visible.



Release sensors for Blind Spot Assist from brackets and place to one side with attached electric lines.

When removing the center left rear parking system distance sensor (B8/11) or the center right rear parking system distance sensor (B8/12).

Remove rear end underfloor paneling.

When removing the outer right rear parking system distance sensor (B8/7), outer left rear parking system distance sensor (B8/10), center left rear parking system distance sensor (B8/11) or center right rear parking system distance sensor (B8/12).

Remove rear bumper (2).

When removing the inner right rear parking system distance sensor (B8/8) or the inner left rear parking system distance sensor (B8/9).

Disconnect corresponding electrical connector (1).

Unclip corresponding parking system distance sensor from the rear bumper (2).

Check corresponding seal (3) for damage.

 Installation: Ensure that seal (3) is seated properly.

If damage is present,



Replace seal (3).

Install in the reverse order.
