Remove/install three-phase line from starter-alternator to control unit

Remove/install

Disconnect ground line of battery

Release rear drive module

Remove front underfloor paneling

Rechargeable drill / screwdriver

Mark position of brackets (3, 5) on the three-phase line (1)

 Bracket (3) only on vehicles with code (I01) Air conditioning Plus.

Unscrew nut (2) and remove three-phase line (1) on starter-alternator control unit (N129)

 Pay attention to position of contact segments on three-phase line (1) relative to contacts on starter-alternator control unit (N129), deformed contacts lead to malfunction.

 Installation: Fit three-phase line (1) on all the way until it contacts the starter-alternator control unit (N129), screw in nut (2) by hand and then tighten.



Unclip bracket (3) of three-phase line (1) on refrigerant line

On vehicles with code (I01) Air conditioning Plus

Unclip bracket (5) of three-phase line (1) at brake line on master brake cylinder

Detach bracket (4) of three-phase line (1) on underfloor

Unclip clip (6) of three-phase line (1) on transmission cover (7)

Expose three-phase line (1) on underfloor

 Observe routing of three-phase line (1).

Lower vehicle

Unclip clips (12) of three-phase line (1) on intake manifold (9)

Unhook bracket (11) and unclip (13) of three-phase line (1) on bracket (11)

 Installation: Make sure that the brake booster vacuum line (10) is seated correctly in the bracket (11).

Unscrew nut (arrow) and remove three-phase line (1) on starter-alternator (M1/10)



Remove three-phase line (1) from vehicle

Check bracket (4) and clips (6, 12, 13), replace if necessary

When reinstalling removed three-phase line (1).

 Installation: When replacing ensure that the brackets (4) and clips (6, 12, 13) are attached in exactly the same position.

Transfer all the markings applied to the three-phase line (1) to the new three-phase line (1) and position brackets (3, 5) in exactly the same position

When replacing the three-phase line (1).

Install in the reverse order
