1 | Lift/jack up vehicle | ||
2 | Loosen pipe clamps (4, 5) | Installation: Check pipe clamps (4, 5); replace if necessary. The exhaust system must be aligned before tightening pipe clamps (4, 5). | |
Clamp, main muffler to exhaust tailpipe | |||
Clamp, diesel particulate filter to main muffler | |||
3 | Remove spring washers (2) | Installation: Replace spring washers (2). | |
4 | Guide and remove main muffler (1) out of rubber mounts (3) | Installation: Check rubber mount (3) and replace if necessary. | |
5 | Install in the reverse order | ||

6 | Perform engine test run and check exhaust system for leaks in the area of main muffler (1) for leaktightness |
