Remove engine compartment cover

 See owner's manual.

Unlock catch (2) of fuel line (1)

Remove fuel line (1) from pressure regulating valve (Y74)


The fuel line (1) must be neither kinked nor deformed during disassembly
to avoid leakages in the fuel lines.

 Loosen fuel line (1) by moving it back and forth slightly and pull it out carefully toward back.

 After disassembling the fuel line (1), seal connections with suitable stop plugs.

 Installation: Replace sealing ring (3).

 Record plug

 Bolt, bracket of fuel line to high pressure pump

Remove bracket (5)

 Installation: Ensure that the bracket (5) is seated and positioned correctly on the fuel lines.

Detach fuel line (1) from high-pressure pump (6)


The fuel line (1) must be neither kinked nor deformed during disassembly
to avoid leakages in the fuel lines.

 Loosen fuel line (1) by moving it back and forth slightly and pull it out carefully toward back.

 After disassembling the fuel line (1), seal connections with suitable stop plugs.

 Installation: Replace sealing ring.

Install in the reverse order

 Warning

Risk of accident from vehicle starting off by itself when engine running. Risk of injury (bruises and burns) resulting from working on the engine while it is being started or when it is running.

Secure vehicle to prevent it from starting off by itself. Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes. Do not touch hot or rotating parts.

Inspect fuel system for leaks

 Leave engine running, switch it off, and then check fuel system for leaks.
