Remove/install

Danger!

Risk of explosion if ignition takes place, risk of poisoning caused by inhaling fuel vapors or swallowing fuel as well as risk of injury to skin and eyes exposed to fuel.

No fire, sparks, naked flames or smoking.
Pour fuels only into suitable and appropriately marked containers.

Wear protective clothing when handling fuel.

Remove fuel tank

Release feed and return flow lines at fuel tank sensor (A37) and detach

Do not damage seals and connections.

Collect escaping fuel.

Unscrew union nut (1)

Remove fuel tank sensor (A37)

Do not bend float linkage of fuel sensor otherwise the level of fuel in the tank will not be correctly indicated.

Pay attention to installation position of fuel tank sensor.

Replace gasket (2).

Install in the reverse order

Inspecting

Inspect fuel system in area of fuel tank sensor (A37) for leaks
