1 | Unscrew bolt from fuel preheating valve (2) and extract fuel preheating valve (2) from fuel filter (1) | Collect escaping fuel. | |

2 | Slacken hose clamp on fuel feed line (4) and disconnect fuel feed line (4) | Collect escaping fuel. | |
3 | Detach fuel line (3) from fuel filter (1) | Pay attention to use of release arm. Refer to: | |

Collect escaping fuel. | |||
4 | Detach drain hose from drain plug | Only for code KL5 (water separator) | |
5 | Unplug cable connector from water level sensor | Only for code KL5 (water separator) | |
6 | Slacken clamping bolt and pull fuel filter (1) out of bracket | If the fuel filter has been emptied, it must be bled after being installed and before starting the engine: | |
