Remove/install

Connect vehicle diagnosis system and start commissioning fuel system control unit (1).

When replacing fuel system control unit (1).



 Installation: Transfer stored data to new fuel system control unit (1).

Switch off ignition and store transmitter key outside of transmission range (min. 2  m).

Remove driver seat.

Remove turn plate with installed driver's seat.

 Do not separate driver's seat from turn plate.

Remove cover beneath driver's seat.

Remove fuel system control unit (1) from underbody.

 To do so, unscrew nuts (3).

Remove fuel system control unit (1).

 For this purpose disconnect the electrical connectors (2).

Install in the reverse order



Check

 Warning

Risk of accident from vehicle starting off by itself when engine running. Risk of injury (bruises and burns) resulting from working on the engine while it is being started or when it is running.

Secure vehicle to prevent it from starting off by itself. Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes. Do not touch hot or rotating parts.

Perform engine test run.
