Drain fuel tank.

Open clamp (1) and detach fuel return line (2)

Detach engine activated charcoal filter line (3)

Installation: Ensure secure latching of quick-release coupling.

Remove underfloor paneling

Remove tank recess

Do not separate tank recess from fuel filler flap.

Unscrew bolt from bracket (5) at filler neck (4) and remove clip

Release rear drive module

Unscrew bolts from locking lug (6) at right rear wheelhouse and remove

Remove purge valve

Only engine 160.910 /920.

In addition, remove clamp of activated charcoal filter line at cable set.

Remove cable tie (8) from filler neck protection (7)

Remove filler neck protection (7) and at the same time, pull fuel feed line (9) through the filler neck protection (7)

Remove fuel filter

Replace fuel filter

Remove fuel pump and fuel level sensor

Remove holding straps at filler neck (4)

Installation: Ensure correct routing of lines.

Remove lines of fuel tank
