Risk of explosion caused by fuel igniting, risk of poisoning caused by inhaling and swallowing fuel as well as risk of injury to eyes and skin caused by contactwith fuel.

No fires, sparks, open flames or smoking. Pour fuels into suitable and appropriately marked containers only.
Wear protective clothing when handling fuel.

Remove/install

Open and close fuel filler cap (1).

 in order to relieve pressure in the fuel tank.

Empty the fuel tank.

Remove cover (2).

 To do this, remove screws/bolts (3).

 Installation: Ensure that seal is seated correctly on the cover (2).
Check seal on cover (2).

Depending on the findings,



Replace seal on cover (2).

Unscrew bolt (4).

 Installation: Replace lock nut for screw (4).

Remove hose on filler neck (7) and fuel tank.

Remove sealing (5).

 Installation: Ensure that sealing (5) is seated correctly.

Disconnect electrical connection (6).

Remove filler neck (7).

Remove protective ring (8) from filler neck (7).

If protective ring (8) or filler neck (7) are replaced.

Install in the reverse order.



Check

Check fuel system in the area of the filler neck (7) for leak tightness.


Remove escaping fuel.
Damage will otherwise occur.

 Visual inspection only.
