Remove/install power steering radiator

Remove/install

Open engine hood and raise to vertical position

Remove front engine cover (2)

Suction off oil from expansion reservoir (16)

 The area surrounding the separation point should be cleaned thoroughly before opening the hydraulic system. Even the smallest dirt particles, introduced into the hydraulic components, can lead to malfunctions and a total failure of the hydraulic system.

 Hand pump

Loosen clamp (3) and detach return line (4) from power steering radiator (1).

 Collect escaping oil with a rag and plug line connections.

 Set of stop plugs

Loosen clamp (5) and detach hydraulic line (6) from power steering radiator (1).

 Collect escaping oil with a rag and plug line connections.

 Set of stop plugs

Remove bottom engine compartment paneling at front

Disconnect electrical connector on outside temperature sensor (B14) and remove corresponding electrical line (14) from the lower air duct (7)

Remove lower air duct (7)

Lower vehicle

Remove radiator cover (8)

Remove upper air duct (9)

Open bracket (10) and
unhook refrigerant line (11)

Lift cooler (12) together with condenser (13) and move toward rear

Raise vehicle with vehicle lift

Unclip power steering oil cooler (1) from mounts (15) on condenser (13) and remove downwards.

Install in the reverse order

Fill power steering pump and bleed

Check oil level in expansion reservoir (16) and correct if necessary
