Deactivate easy entry and exit feature for steering wheel.

Move steering wheel forward and upward.

Turn steering wheel to center position (front wheels in straight-ahead position) and fix in place using holding device.


Do not turn steering wheel when steering coupling is released.
Otherwise the clock spring contact will be destroyed.

Remove tie rods from steering knuckles.

Disconnect electrical connectors (1).

Support rack-and-pinion steering (2) and secure against falling down.

 Helper required.

Remove screws (3, 4, 5), and remove mounting plates (6) and rack-and-pinion steering (2).
