Remove/install

Remove front engine cover

Pull CDI control unit (N3/9) upward out of brackets

Disconnect connector (1) of vacuum line (2) from vacuum pump (8)

Unclip electrical line (3), release cable duct (4) and place to one side


Do not subject the cable to tensile force.
Otherwise they may be damaged.

Remove resonance box (5)

 Installation: Check sealing ring, replace if necessary.

 Record plug

Remove bracket (6)

Unscrew bolts (7) and remove vacuum pump (8)

 Installation: Clean sealing surfaces and replace gasket.

Install in the reverse order

 Danger !

Risk of accident from vehicle starting off by itself when engine running. Risk of injury (bruises and burns) resulting from working on the engine while it is being started or when it is running.

Secure vehicle to prevent it from starting off by itself. Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes. Do not touch hot or rotating parts.

Perform engine test run and leak check on vacuum pump (8)
