1 | Ensure that the requirements for driving into the workshop are fulfilled. | ||

2 | Print out "tank system, fuel cell, form event log," fill out, and attach to the vehicle somewhere clearly visible. | ||

3 | Remove left center underfloor paneling. | ||
4 | Remove left front wheel and tire assembly. | ||
5 | Remove left fender liner in fender. | ||
6 | Loosen steering coupling from steering shaft. | ||
7 | Disconnect electrical connector (1). | ||
8 | Release and remove vacuum line (2) at vacuum pump (M56). | ||
9 | Unscrew bolts (3). | Screw, electrical vacuum pump to supporting frame | |
10 | Remove vacuum pump (M56) with bracket (4) toward rear. | The vacuum pump (M56) is only available as a replacement part together with the bracket. | |
11 | Install in the reverse order. | ||
12 | Reset runtime status of the electrical vacuum pump (M56) using the vehicle diagnosis system. | When replacing vacuum pump (M56). | |

13 | Perform brake test on test stand. | ||
