Danger!

Risk of poisoning caused by swallowing brake fluid. Risk of injury caused by brake fluid coming into contact with skin and eyes.

Only pour brake fluid into suitable and appropriately marked containers. Wear protective clothing and eye protection when handling brake fluid.

Remove bolts (1) from both diagonal struts (2) and remove diagonal struts (2)

Check the bolted connection of the brake lines (8, 8.1, 9, 9.1, 10, 11) on the hydraulic unit (5) for color coding

Installation: Mark brake lines accordingly.

Release retainer (3) and disconnect electrical connector (4) from ESP control unit (N47-5)

Remove bolts (6) and lower hydraulic unit (5) with bracket (7) until the brake lines (8, 8.1, 9, 9.1, 10, 11) are accessible

Installation: Do not bend brake line (8, 8.1, 9, 9.1, 10, 11), pay attention to routing, leaktightness and clearance.

Loosen threaded connection of brake line (8, 8.1, 9, 9.1, 10, 11) at hydraulic unit (5) and disconnect

Collect brake fluid which runs out in a suitable container.

Installation: Do not damage the threads when positioning the threaded connections as the resulting chippings could cause the entire brake system to fail.

Remove corresponding brake line (8, 8.1, 9, 9.1, 10, 11)

Only if a brake line (8, 8.1, 9, 9.1, 10, 11) with red color coding has been removed.

Install in the reverse order
