2 | Release parking brake | ||
3 | Remove left footwell cover under instrument panel | ||
4 | Remove driver seat on left with seat console | ||
5 | Remove left door sill molding | ||
6 | Place floor carpet to one side | ||
Danger! | Risk of death caused by vehicle slipping or toppling off of the lifting platform. | Align vehicle between pillars of lifting platform and position four support plates at lift mounting points specified by vehicle manufacturer. | |
7 | Raise vehicle | ||

8 | Release front brake cable (2) with adjustment screw (8) | ||
9 | Unhook brake cable from the bracket of the parking brake pedal | Using the special tool, unclip the plastic ring from the cable guide. Replace damaged plastic ring. | |

10 | Unscrew clamps of the front brake cable from the routing in the interior | Installation: Insert plastic plugs of brake cable correctly in the underfloor. | |

11 | Unscrew heat dissipation plate on underfloor | ||

12 | Unscrew clamping bracket from right fuel tank (exhaust side) | Using a suitable telescopic lifter lower and support fuel tank until the front brake cable can be gripped. | |
13 | Unhook return spring from the automatic cable slack adjuster | ||
14 | Undo bolt from front brake cable on clamping bracket holder | | |
15 | Unscrew clamping bracket holder | | |
16 | Unscrew released bolt and remove front brake cable from bracket of automatic cable slack adjuster | Using the special tool, unclip the plastic ring from the cable guide. Replace damaged plastic ring. | |

17 | Remove front brake cable from underfloor | ||
18 | Install in the reverse order | ||
19 | Adjust parking brake |
