Only pour brake fluid into suitable and appropriately marked containers. Wear protective clothing and eye protection when handling brake fluid.

Risk of accident when commissioning the vehicle due to a lack of braking effect when the service brake is operated for the first time after repair work.

Before starting engine, actuate brake pedal several times until pressure is built up and maintained in the brake system.

Remove/install

Remove air filter housing

Disconnect electrical connector (2)

Suction off brake fluid from brake fluid reservoir (1)

Detach hose (3) from clutch master cylinder

 Seal the connections and collect the discharged brake fluid.

 Record plug

Remove reservoir (1)

 To do so, remove bolt (4) and pull reservoir (1) out of seals (5) of master brake cylinder.

 Installation: Replace seals (5).

 Bolt, expansion reservoir to master brake cylinder

Install in the reverse order
