Remove brake shoes of drum brake

Remove spring (1) from brake shoes

Spring (1) remains on brake adjuster (2).

Remove return spring (3)

Remove fixing spring (4)

Remove brake adjuster (2)


Note direction of rotation of brake adjuster (2). Right-hand thread for left side of vehicle, left-hand thread for right side of vehicle.
Malfunction or damage can occur otherwise.

Installation: Turn the brake adjuster (2) back to original position. Lightly grease thread of brake adjuster (2). The presetting of brake adjuster (2) is carried out when installing the brake shoes.
