Only pour brake fluid into suitable and appropriately marked containers. Wear protective clothing and eye protection when handling brake fluid.

Remove

Remove each front wheel

Remove each brake hose

Release and disconnect electrical connection  (4)

When removing left brake caliper (2)

Remove electrical connector (4) from brake caliper (2)

When removing left brake caliper (2)

Remove screws/bolts (1) and remove brake caliper (2) from brake caliper support (3)

Remove brake linings from brake caliper (2)

Clean brake caliper (2), brake linings and any areas contaminated by escaping brake fluid

Check the condition of the piston, cap, and brake hose of the brake caliper (2)

 Screw/bolt, front floating caliper carrier to steering knuckle

If damage is present



replace brake caliper (2) or brake hose.

When replacing the brake caliper (2)



replace brake caliper support (3).



Install

Install brake linings in brake caliper (2)


Do not apply any brake paste or assembly grease.
This can otherwise cause the brake system to malfunction.

 Install outer right brake lining with brake wear sensor.

Fasten brake caliper (2) on brake caliper support (3) using screws/bolts (1)

 Replace screws/bolts (1).

 Screw/bolt, floating caliper to floating caliper carrier

Fasten electrical connector (4) at brake caliper (2)

 Ensure that electrical connector (4) is routed correctly.

 Screw/bolt, brake wear indicator to floating caliper

Connect electrical connection (4)

Install respective brake hose

Mount relevant front wheel

Carry out brake test on the test stand
