Represented on axle 634.081 The graphic representation shows the adjustment of the 1st front axle. The adjustment of the 2nd front axle occurs the same way.
1
Place the measuring scales (1) with the following distance before and after the front axle a = d x 5 a = d x 10 d = diameter of the rim edge Example: C = 600 mm Distance = 5 x d = 5 x 600 = 3000 mm or 3 m. Therefore, the rulers should be placed 3 m before and 3 m after the front axle (measured).
2
Mark the position of the measuring rulers (1) on the floor with a chalk
The shaft must not necessarily be at the center (e.g.: for reasons of room). The distance between the measuring scales, however, must always correspond to 10 times the value of the rim edge diameter. Thus, the convergence can be directly read on the measurement rulers (1) scale in mm.

3
Position the projectors (3) on the front axle supports (2)
4
Direct the light beam of the left side wheel projector on the front and rear measuring rulers (1)
5
Adjust the measuring rulers on the same value (for example 50) and keep them in this position
B40.20-0002-12
6
Direct the light beam of the right wheel on the scale of the front measuring ruler and then on the scale of the rear measuring ruler and read the values .
A scale division corresponds to a 01 mm toe-in.
The difference of both values yields the total convergence in mm.
A smaller value means a positive convergence. Example: Front: 27 mm Rear: 27.40 mm The vehicle has a toe-in of 0.40 mm.
7
Record the measuring value in the alignment form
The checking of the 2nd front axle occurs the same way.
