Remove

Remove left or right spring link.

Assemble nut A (06), hollow-piston cylinder (05) and support sleeve A (04) on spindle (01) as illustrated.

Route spindle (01) through elastomer bearing (1), then fit thrust piece A (010) and nut B (02).

 The hollow-piston cylinder (05) must be horizontal.

Secure remover (07) using suitable means to prevent it falling.

 The remover (07) consists of the thrust piece A (010), nut B (02), hollow-piston cylinder (05), support sleeve A (04) and the spindle (01).

Position remover (07) on elastomer bearing (1) and rear axle carrier (2) and preload.


Do not position the remover (07) at an angle.
Otherwise the elastomer bearing (1) or the rear axle carrier (2) could be damaged.

Press out elastomer bearing (1).

Clean

Clean area around rear axle carrier (2) and bearing seat of elastomer bearing (1) using suitable cleaning agents.

Press in

Position elastomer bearing (1).


Do not position the elastomer bearing (1) at an angle.
Otherwise the elastomer bearing (1) or the rear axle carrier (2) could be damaged.

Assemble nut A (09), hollow-piston cylinder (05) and thrust piece A (010) on spindle (01) as illustrated.

Route spindle (01) through elastomer bearing (1), the plug on support sleeve B (011) and fit nut B (012).

Secure press-in tool (08) using suitable means to prevent it falling.

 The press-in tool (08) consists of a thrust piece A (010), nut B (012), hollow-piston cylinder (05), support sleeve B (011) and the spindle (01).

Position press-in tool (08) on elastomer bearing (1) and rear axle carrier (2) and preload.

Press in elastomer bearing (1).

 Until the notch (arrow B) on the thrust piece (010) is aligned with the rear axle carrier (2).
