Remove

Remove corresponding spring link.

Position extraction and insertion tool (1) at wheel carrier (2).

 Removal and installation tool

Pull supporting joint (3) out of wheel carrier (2) using extraction and insertion tool (1).

Remove extraction and insertion tool (1) and supporting joint (3).



Install

Apply lubricant paste to boot of supporting joint (3).

Antifriction paste, rubber parts 2.5 kg, DBL 6867.00

Position insertion device (4) with supporting joint (3) at wheel carrier (2).


Position boot of supporting joint (3) fully in thrust piece of insertion device (4).
Otherwise the boot can be damaged.

Pull supporting joint (3) into wheel carrier (2) in direction of travel using insertion device (4).

 The supporting joint (3) is correctly pulled in when it is seated in the center of the wheel carrier eye (arrow).

Remove insertion device (4).
