| Apply torque meter(4) to collar nut(2).
|

| Turntorque meter(4) clockwise with a constant speed and read out measurement value.
|
|
| If measurement value is below tolerance range,
|
|
| Adjust friction value at drive pinion (1).
|

| Removetorque meter(4) from collar nut(2).
|

| Attach retainer wrench to driver flange (3) using two screws.
|

| Increase tightening torque of collar nut (2) within tolerance.
|

| Remove retainer wrench from drive flange (3).
|
7
| Determine friction value at drive pinion (1).
|
|
| To do so, repeat operation steps 1 to 3.
|
|
| If measurement value is still below tolerance range,
|
|
| Increase tightening torque of collar nut(2) further within tolerance.
|
|
| Do not loosen or turn back the collar nut (2).
Otherwise components will be damaged.
|
|
| If the tightening torque at the collar nut (2) is above the tolerance range as a result of adjusting the friction value,
|
|
| Replace front axle differential.
|
