Wear protective gloves, protective clothing and safety glasses.
Do not pour transmission oil into beverage bottles.

Remove

1

Remove left or right front axle shaft.

Pry radial shaft sealing ring (1) out of front axle differential using remover.


Do not damage the seating surface of the radial shaft sealing ring (1) in the front axle transmission.
Otherwise leaks may occur.

 Removal and installation tool

Check

3

Check sitting surface of radial shaft sealing ring (1) in front axle differential for damage.

If damage is found,



Replace front axle differential.

Install

Moisten sealing lip of radial shaft sealing ring (1) with transmission oil.



Universal hypoid gear oils (specification 235.7)

BB00.40-P-0235-07A

Do not oil sitting surfaces in front axle differential and on radial shaft sealing ring (1).
Otherwise leaks may occur.

 Replace radial shaft sealing ring (1).

Press radial shaft sealing ring (1) into front axle differential using drift.

Install left or right front axle shaft.
