Multipurpose grease, filling capacity per wheel hub

Front axle 733.015/201

	Removing
1	Secure vehicle against rolling
2	Remove front wheels.	 When removing the front wheels, the vehicle must be supported at the jacking points provided.
3	Press off brake drum with two bolts	 Identify position of brake drum to wheel hub with center punch mark.
4	Unscrew wheel hub cap (1)
5	Unscrew clamp nut (2) and remove pressure plate (3)	 Loosen securing bolt of clamp nut (2).
6	Removing front wheel hub	 Remove outer tapered roller bearing. If the inner tapered roller bearing has not been removed at the same time, detach inner tapered roller bearing.

	Install
7	Screw front wheel hub onto steering knuckle		*389589004300
8	Drive in outer tapered roller bearing	 Grease outer tapered roller bearing.

9	Fit thrust washer (3)
10	Screw on clamp nut (2) up to the stop		*389589001300
11	Tighten the clamp nut (2) while simultaneously turning the wheel hub		*BA33.20-N-1003-01D

12	Loosen the clamp nut (2) slightly and pull out front wheel hub until play is present
13	Measure wheel bearing play and adjust if necessary		AR33.20-A-0300-01A

14	Fill wheel hub cap (1) with grease and screw on	 Clean sealing surfaces and replace gasket.

15	Install brake drum	 Note the note marking.
16	Install front wheels
