Install transverse leaf spring

Apply center marking on transverse leaf spring and front axle beam.

Bond upper spring rubber bushings to bearing brackets and clip into brackets on subframe.


Installation: Black bearing bracket = left side of vehicle
Red bearing bracket = right side of vehicle
Rubber bushing with red color coding = right side of vehicle

Grease lower side of rubber bushings (arrow).

Install transverse leaf spring

Coat spring bearings with assembly oil and push onto ends of springs to stop.


The chamfer (arrow) must point upwards.

Grease the spring ends of both rubber bushings.

Install transverse leaf spring

Insert transverse leaf spring with the outer spring bearings into the recess in the left and right transverse control arms.


The center markings on the spring and axle housing must align.

Install transverse leaf spring

Immobilize transverse leaf spring with vehicle jack and square timber against the two upper spring bearings.
