Remove/install heat shield on transmission

 Caution

Risk of injury caused by scraping or cutting body parts on sharp vehicle parts

Always wear protective gloves when working on or near sharp and non-deburred vehicle parts.
Deburr repair panels.

Unclip electrical wiring harness (2) from heat shield (1) (arrow).

Remove screw (3) and remove heat shield (1) downward.

Remove screw (4) and remove leaf spring (5).

If the automatic transmission is replaced.

Attach leaf spring (5) to automatic transmission.

If the automatic transmission has been replaced.

Screw in and tighten screw (4)  .

If the automatic transmission has been replaced.

Slide heat shield (1) under leaf spring (5).

Screw in and tighten screw (3)  .

Attach electrical wiring harness (2) to heat shield (1) (arrow).
