Remove/install

Make sure everything is absolutely clean, use lint-free rags only

Risk of damage due to contaminants in transmission.

Move selector level into position "P"

Disconnect ground line of battery

See Remove/install battery.

Installation: Code radio.
Set timer.

Remove automatic transmission oil pan

Disconnect connector (X106)

Turn connector to the left.

Remove retainer (5) for connector (X106)

Raise retainer with screwdriver until the shackle unlocks.
Installation: Slide retainer (5) in until the shackle visibly engages.

Remove inductive sensor (B92)

When the electrohydraulic controller unit (1) or inductive sensor (B92) is not replaced the connectors (X106) must not be disconnected.

Unscrew torx bolts (2)

Installation: Position and tighten Torx screws (2) evenly.

TORX socket wrench Tx27, 1/2"

Lift out electrohydraulic controller unit (1), at the same time push connector (X106) out of mounting hole and remove from transmission

Installation: Note installation position of connector (X106) in mounting hole on transmission.
Gearshift lever (3) must engage in guide (arrow) of selector lever.

Observe fixing bolts of electrohydraulic controller unit (1).

Remove inductive sensor (B91) and remove electrohydraulic controller unit (1)

When the electrohydraulic controller unit (1) or inductive sensor (B92) is not replaced the connectors (X106) must not be disconnected.

Remove sealing sleeve (4)

Installation: Replace sealing sleeve (4).
