1 | Drain transmission oil | ||

2.1 | Take off plug connection pocket (5) at windshield washer reservoir | Only with engine 111.948/978 and 601 | |
3 | Remove water drain (6) at windshield washer reservoir | Do not damage plastic guides at radiator shroud. | |
4 | Thoroughly clean surrounding area of oil pan | Risk of damage as a result of dirt getting into transmission. | |
Use non-fluffing cloths. | |||
5 | Remove tensioning pieces (2) | Pay attention to installation position of tensioning pieces (2) at oil pan. | |

6 | Take off oil pan (3) together with gasket (4) | Installation: replace gasket (4). Ensure gasket (4) is correctly positioned. | |
Clean sealing surfaces with a non-fluffing cloth. | |||
7 | Install in the reverse order | ||
| Inspecting | ||
8 | Inspect oil pan (3) for leaks |
