Remove/install

Remove oil pan from automatic transmission.

Disconnect electrical connector (1).

 Place electrical connector (1) outside of working area.

Spring clip (3).

Release park pawl on transmission.

 Attach unlocking tool (4), as shown, and pin together using suitable tool.
The unlocking tool (4) is located in the vehicle tool kit in the front passenger footwell.

Raise vehicle.

Unscrew bolts (5 to 14).

 Installation: Tightening in numerical sequence.

Pry off electrohydraulic controller unit (15) using a suitable tool.


The electrohydraulic controller unit (15) must not be pried off at the intermediate seal.
Otherwise, the electrohydraulic controller unit (15) may leak.

 The electrohydraulic controller unit (15) is held in place by the suction and pressure lines.

Remove rpm sensor.

 An assistant is required to help secure the electrohydraulic controller unit (15).

 To do so, remove bolt (18) and pull out rpm sensor.

Remove position sensor.

 An assistant is required to help secure the electrohydraulic controller unit (15).

 To do so, unscrew bolt (17) and remove position sensor.

Remove bushing (2).

 An assistant is required to help secure the electrohydraulic controller unit (15).

 Press bush (2) from above through the transmission housing.

Remove electrohydraulic controller unit (12).

 Installation:
Install electrical wiring harness of electrohydraulic controller unit (12), as shown.
Otherwise, the electrohydraulic controller unit electrical wiring harness (12) may be damaged.

 An assistant is required to help secure the electrohydraulic controller unit (15).

Remove remaining suction and pressure lines (16) from transmission housing.

 To do so, pull out suction and pressure lines (16) using lint-free and dust-free cloth by hand.

Install in the reverse order.
