Align vehicle between vehicle lift columns and position the four support plates at the vehicle lift support points specified by the vehicle manufacturer.

Remove/install

1

Switch off ignition and store transmitter key outside of transmitter range (min. 2 m).

Drain automatic transmission fluid.



Automatic transmission - Oil change

 Do not lower vehicle.

Remove bolt (12).

 Bolt, holder of control unit to automatic transmission

Remove screws (6, 7, 8).

 Collect escaping oil.

 Commercially available devices/tools
Collecting pan

 Installation: Tightening in numerical sequence.

 Installation: Clean area surrounding oil pan (9) thoroughly.

Lower vehicle.

Open hood.

Release and disconnect electrical connector (13) from control unit.

Detach electrical wiring harness (14) from bracket (11).

Remove bracket (11).

 To do this, remove screws (10) and remove bracket (11) with control unit.

Remove screws (1, 2, 3, 4, 5).

 Installation: Tightening in numerical sequence.

 Bolt, oil pan to automatic transmission

Remove oil pan (9) upwards.

 Always replace oil pan (9).

 Pry off oil pan (9) using a suitable tool. Collect escaping oil.

Clean sealing surfaces on transmission with a dust-free and lint-free cloth.

Install in the reverse order.



 Warning

Risk of accident from vehicle starting off by itself when engine running. Risk of injury (bruises and burns) resulting from working on the engine while it is being started or when it is running.

Secure vehicle to prevent it from starting off by itself. Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes. Do not touch hot or rotating parts.

Check for leak tightness when engine is running.
