1 | Drain gear oil from oil pan (1) | ||

Do not drain oil from the torque converter. | |||

2 | Remove heat shield (10) | ||
3 | Remove oil pan (1) | To do so, remove bolts (5), remove sprag (6) and remove seal (9). | |
| Clean | ||
4 | Remove magnet (7) from oil pan (1) and clean | Mark the installation position of the magnet (7). Check magnet (7) for damage and replace as per findings. | |
5 | Clean the oil pan (1) and sealing surfaces on the automatic transmission | | |
| Check | ||
6 | Check oil filter (8), replace as per findings | ||
| Install | ||
7 | Install magnet (7) in oil pan (1) | Ensure bulb is correctly installed. | |
8 | Install new overflow pipe (3) | Press overflow pipe (3) firmly on to base (arrow). The overflow pipe (3) must latch into place noticeably. | |
9 | Install oil pan (1) with new seal (9) | | |
Replace bolts (5). Do not apply any sealant or sealing compound to oil pan (1) and transmission housing. | |||

10 | Install heat shield (10) | The heat shield (10) must be under the leaf spring at the transmission. | |
11 | Fill with transmission oil |
