Remove engine with automatic transmission (1).

Unclip retaining clip (2) from automatic transmission (1).

Remove metal clip (3) from holder (8) and place electric line (4) to one side.

Remove starter (M1).

Remove coolant hose (6) from automatic transmission oil cooler (5).

Unscrew screws (9) and remove holder (8).

 Screw, coolant pump holder to coupling housing

Attach lifting device (7) to automatic transmission (1).

Attach boom crane to lifting device (7) and slightly raise automatic transmission (1).

Remove engine support fixture from automatic transmission (1).

Remove screws (10).

 Bolt, transmission to engine

Remove automatic transmission (1) from engine.

 Aid of helper required.

 Installation: Apply coating of lubricant to teeth of dual clutch.

MB multipurpose grease, transmission input shaft hub gear

Place automatic transmission (1) on suitable surface.

Remove boom crane with lifting device (7) from automatic transmission (1).

 Commercially available devices/tools

 Lifting device

Check dowel pins in automatic transmission (1) for damage and tight seating.

If problems occur,



Replace dowel pins.

15

Install in the reverse order.

 Automatic transmission complete
